Over the eons the Virgin River cut through thousands of feet of sandstone to create Zion Canyon in Zion National Park. Today it quiety flows past the red rock it created. Around the beginning of November the fall colors peak at the lower elevations. The bright reds, oranges, yellows and greens compliment the majestic walls of the canyon. This picture was taken near the Temple of Sinawava at the end of the canyon road.
